Working TitleThe early morning wake up call, Wish I didn't have to go at all. Slowly rise my sleepy head, I'd much rather stay in bed. A trip to work now, in the rain, Everyday it seems the same. I put my money in the till, Perhaps I should just say I'm ill. But wait, look here, what is this docket, And why has it got writing on it? It is a poem to my surprise And as the words pass by my eyes. It chases all my blues away. Now I feel I can face the day. Only two questions about this score, Who is the writer? For far we have traveled and then further still, But for now we will rest on this little hill. For friends we all are and friends we will be. I'll be friends with you if you'll be friends with me.
So, Hooray for our lives and the road that we tread. Hooray for the ground and soft grass to bed. Hooray for the food, Hooray for the drink. Hooray for our minds so that we can think.
